DCS CONTEMPORARY is located in the heart of Karlsruhe, Germany. Building bridges with art communities and organizations abroad. It is foreseen within cultural fusion and the humane politics of recognition.

FOUNDER – DIRECTOR WELCOME

“Beauty is the only thing that time cannot harm.” – Oscar Wilde –

DCS CONTEMPORARY is launched as a platform for an expanded, diverse, and inclusive art concept. In current times any new art space put in motion is an act of faith and a conviction on the extraordinary capabilities of art to narrate life through metaphors. It is to perceive human life on the planet we inhabit with a critical eye in hand with a hopeful outlook of the future.

Our gallery brings together all streams of art flowing into the Sea of Mankind’s culture, seeking the Universal quintessence of Humanity under the guise of so many artists’ creations.

Exhibitions, publications, architecture, education, live events, and technological innovation in the gallery and beyond are to come. It is forging a critical understanding of local and international phenomena in art and society.

We believe in cultural fusion and the politics of recognition as we perpetually integrate new forms and ideas of art exhibited by sundry artists of this planet. Our world hangs together as Unitas Multiplex as long as it builds on diverse cultural legacies and seeks authenticity and beauty.

I thank all who make DCS CONTEMPORARY possible: artists, advisors, designers, writers, curators, and especially the audience.

Gaudeamus igitur!

EMBRACING DIALOGUES

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” – Maya Angelou –

Cuba, Belarus, India, France, Iraq, Romania, Australia, Kurdistan, Germany; for the most part, the artists included in this exhibition live and work in countries such as these. And most importantly, they live in a continuous creative journey.

This selected group of artists is the best definition of the diverse global geographies in a constantly changing world. The term “country” is lost among its improbable political borders. And it’s much more about genuine geographic, economic, metaphorical, and cultural borders.

By in large, the artists’ work, included in this exhibition, rather than analyzing, describing, establishing prefigured contexts, they create from their personal, historical, and cultural circumstances. As it emerges from diverse visions of the world, from their imagery and perspectives. The borderlines thus cease, creating an outstanding synergy of new cultural subjects, energies, and expressions, bursting forth from all sides without national or regional surnames.

The eclectic and asymmetric display of artworks is based upon the vision that contemporary art of post-pandemic times does not necessarily depend on the gracious acceptance of Western art patterns. But on complex processes of alternative subjectivities, diverse expressions, and stroke of senses from memory, imagination, and personal experiences.

This exhibition at the heart of Karlsruhe is the departure of an amazing cultural journey. It is by bringing together artists creating moments of shared visions and embracing dialogues. As it will perhaps serve to envision that the beauty of difference is a gesture of affirmation of the universal condition of all humans.
